The Holiday Bowl Parade Drum Major is Tim. Congratulations!

This message is to the four candidates who will be trying out for the position of Parade Drum Major for the Holiday Bowl Big Bay Balloon Parade.

Auditions will be held on Friday, November 21 at 2:30 PM in the Band Room.

Guess what...we have state in 3 days!! Its so exciting. All of you have been working so hard these past few days. I wasn't here last week but coming into this week I can tell you all have been stepping it up. If we keep up all the hard work and finding that focus spot state will be a blast. Always keep your goals in mind everytime you step onto the field so when state comes there isn't a doubt in your mind that you are going to nail every single thing. I am so proud of all of you and I can't wait to expierence Night Visions with you on Saturday night. Keep raising the bar and live it up on Saturday =]

Well, we have reached the end of "Band Camp".

Weeks filled with loads of hard work, and effort. I was really surprised my first day of Band Camp. Everyone, returning members, and new members, were all working hard. To be honest I was shocked. The second day and your energy hadn't faded at all, and you continued to push your energy and hard work to the end of the first week.

  Week two, first day back, very slow day of relearning, we didn't learn anything new, but we did improve a bit. Even if our marching rehearsal wasn't that great, when we got inside for music rehearsal, I was so excited. Half way through week two and our energy started to fade, yeah it was still there, but just a small fraction of what it used to be. We did some games and team building, and had alot of fun. The energy increased and we were ready to learn some more. Thursday night practice, we finished learning our box drills, and then opposing box drills, man were we tired. Friday, we put on a great show, loads of band parents showed up, and we even had a few of the schools employees come, like our school resource officer =). Alumni showed up and we all had a great night!

  After all that hard work band camp came to an end. Tomorrow marks the first day of school for the brand new 2008-2009 school year. I know I'm excited and looking forward to a brand new school year loaded with fun. Are you ready. Don't forget, the Band is your friend, along with myself and everyone in it. Don't be afraid to ask questions, not only about the band, but about the school, we might know the answer. If your lost or don't know where your supposed to be and you see one of us in the hall, come up and ask us. Thanks alot everyone for all of your hard work. I can't wait to see where the 2008-2009 school year will take us!

Hey wildcat band!!

We have all worked hard through one amazing week. You are all really doing an amazing job. Everyday you are improving. I can't express how proud I am of all of you. I hope you all had fun in todays water game. I know I did. =]. Make sure this weekend you are practicing not only your music but your marching technique. Its important to practice this weekend so when monday comes we will all be ready to keep moving forward and raising that bar. =] Have a great weekend. I will see you all tomorrow at the CAR WASH!! Dont forget we are meeting there at 7:30 and we will start washing cars at 8 =].

Hey band.

Another amazing day down. You are all really working hard throughout the whole day. Its so awesome.  Keep up all the hard work, and always strive to be better than you were the day before. Make sure to have a good dinner and breakfast. =] Drink plenty of water and teach your parents how to march. Its funny watching them try =]. I will see you all tomorrow morning. Trumpets remember Miss Trent wants you there 5 min early...dont be late=].

Day 3 was AWESOME! You are all doing a fantastic job each and every day. I cannot believe how much you all have improved these last 3 days. Keep up the hard work&&raising that bar higher and higher. Make sure you eat a good dinner and breakfast. Drink lots and lots of WATER! Oh and dont forget to teach your parents how to march. =]

Things done well:

- Running to each station.

- Forward marching.

- Keeping horns up=].

Things needing improvement:

- Transition from mark time to forward march.

- Remembering left foot first.

- Rythms in Jump.

- Building up the team.

- Staying on task during sectionals.

Things to improve:

- Not moving at attention.

- Forward marching. 

- Keeping the horns up.

- Following instructions.

Hey Band =]!!!!

 So today was a MAJOR success.

Great job to all of you.

You were all really on top of things and extremely focused.

I can wait to see how the next week and 4 days go =].

Things the band did well:

- Focusing =]

- Attention position.

- Staying strong thoughout the whole day.

Things the band can work on:

- Making horns up snappy.

- The pivits for Right, Left&&About face.

- Dressing right&&left.

So yah....FRESHMAN: YOU WERE ALL ROCKIN IT OUT THERE!! KEEP UP THE HARD WORK. THE HARDER YOU WORK THE HARDER THE UPPERCLASSMAN AND LEADERS HAVE TO WORK. SO SHOW US UP!!

 Get lots of rest tonight =]

Make sure to eat something good tonight and in the morning.

Remember NO SODA....WATER WATER WATER!

Dont forget to bring your music, instrument, WATER, running shoes, a snack and a sack lunch.

Please DO NOT pack a soda with your lunch.

I know its hard but we want everyone to perform at their best.

Soda wont help that. =]
